This policy explains how Blackbuck Electric Vehicles India Pvt Ltd (“Blackbuck EV”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses and protects personal data when you use blackbuckev.com, including when you reserve an ELON or VIRO vehicle. We process personal data in line with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the rules made under it.

For the purposes of this policy, Blackbuck EV is the Data Fiduciary for the personal data described below.

2. The personal data we collect

When you submit a reservation request, we collect:

• your full name, company name, email address and phone number;
• the model(s) and quantity you wish to reserve;
• your consent, and the date and time you submitted the form.

Our website host may also record basic technical information, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit, to keep the site secure and working properly.

3. Why we use it

We use your personal data only to:

• record and acknowledge your reservation request;
• contact you about your reservation, payment terms, a memorandum of understanding (MOU) and order confirmation;
• keep accurate records of reservations and comply with our legal obligations;
• protect the security of our website.

We do not sell your personal data and we do not use it for unrelated marketing without asking you first.

4. Your consent

We process your reservation details on the basis of the consent you give when you tick the box on the reservation form. You may withdraw your consent at any time by emailing info@blackbuckev.com. Withdrawing consent will not affect processing already carried out, but we may no longer be able to progress your reservation.

5. Who we share it with

We share your personal data only with service providers who help us run the website and manage reservations, such as our website host and email or customer-management providers. They act on our instructions and must protect your data. We may also disclose data where required by law or by a competent authority.

6. How long we keep it

We keep your personal data only for as long as needed to handle your reservation and any resulting order, and afterwards only as long as required by law. When it is no longer needed, we delete it.

7. Cookies and embedded video

Our website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. The VIRO page includes a video from YouTube shown in privacy-enhanced mode; it loads only when you press play, after which YouTube’s own privacy policy applies. If we introduce analytics or other non-essential cookies in future, we will update this policy and ask for your consent where required.

8. How we protect it

We use reasonable technical and organisational security measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss or misuse. If a personal data breach occurs, we will notify affected individuals and the Data Protection Board of India as required by law.

9. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:

• request a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we use it;
• request correction, completion, updating or erasure of your personal data;
• withdraw your consent;
• nominate another person to exercise your rights in the event of your death or incapacity;
• raise a grievance with us, and, if it is not resolved, complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

11. Children

Our website and reservations are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
